The new Dyson Centre for Neonatal Care at the Royal United Hospital in Bath opened at the weekend. The first baby transported from the old neonatal ITC was Joshua Heather, born a month ago weighing just over 3lbs.

The project is an exemplar design model for the practice of development care, designed not to be a one-off showcase for sustainability, but to serve as a template and catalyst for sustainable healthcare, challenge existing standards, define new targets and develop strategies replicable elsewhere in the health sector.
