Old Fire Station in Oxford opens
8th November 2011
The Old Fire Station redevelopment in Oxford by FCBS opened it's doors last week with three days of events put on by Crisis Skylight and Arts at the Old Fire Station including speeches and performances on how these two contrasting organisations will collaborate under one roof.
The new multi-disciplinary arts and community resource will provide a mix of multi-use spaces to operate alongside a social enterprise café and Crisis Skylight promoting new talent and encourage a vibrant cutting edge culture of creative learning and the development of new work within a professional environment focusing particularly on the visual arts, digital technology, dance and music.
The buildings dating from 1894 have been refurbished throughout, creating high quality, inspirational spaces for learning, performances, exhibitions and social enterprise.
