Formby Pool was 1 of only 14 projects to win a new RIBA National Award. The judges commented; “This swimming pool is the source of much local pride. The café and the pool share a single space under a grand, twisted roof supported by glulam beams and with lots of glass. So the swimmer has great views each time the head emerges from the water, making it an uplifting place to take exercise in.
