OF TIME AND PLACE

10 February - 1 April 2023, Huddersfield Art Gallery

WHAT MAKES UP THE CULTURAL HEART OF OUR TOWN? IS IT THE PEOPLE OR THE BUILDINGS, THE PAST OR THE PRESENT, THE LANGUAGE OR THE LANDSCAPE?

'Of Time and Place' is a physical and visual expression of what makes Huddersfield and the surrounding area unique. A curated exhibition of hands-on activities, archive material, community-led content and commissioned pieces. This project is a large piece of social value work which has been carried out as part of our work on the Cultural Heart of Kirklees project for Kirklees Council and has been a collaboration not only with the council but with The University of Huddersfield but also with local community groups, organisations, researchers, members of the public, and local resident and Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage.
