Katherine joined the Manchester studio in 2017 and brings a background in cultural, residential and education sectors. Her previous project experience includes Storyhouse Chester, one of the country’s most successful new arts buildings with strong operational community links.

Katherine studied at Manchester School of Architecture with a focus on placemaking, responsive to site history and heritage. Katherine was Project Architect on Plots 5&6 of the Circle Square scheme, a £140m neighbourhood development in Manchester. The site includes one of Manchester’s largest new green public spaces and is set to play an important role for the city as it begins its post-Covid regeneration.

Most recently she has been working on a new residential development in Salford.

Through her volunteer roles with engagement organisations in the North West, Katherine works to encourage young people from a range of backgrounds into architectural professions and to help communities develop a voice in shaping their surroundings. She co-founded UrbanistasNW, a female-led network, organising events to make the built environment a more equitable, inclusive and diverse place to live, work and play.
